Franco Moschino established Moschino in Italy in 1983. Despite his initial desire to pursue painting, Moschino channeled his passion for color and prints into the field of fashion design. Following a stint as an illustrator for the Italian fashion label Versace, Moschino launched his eponymous label. Moschino's unique approach involved taking established styles from other fashion houses and infusing them with a sense of boldness and confidence. As a graduate of the Istituto Marangoni, Moschino quickly gained recognition for his distinctive vision.
