The Barbour story began in 1894 in South Shields, and today, it's still a family-owned business based in the North East. Barbour's headquarters are in Simonside, South Shields, where some classic wax jackets are still handmade and repaired.

While Barbour sources products globally, its retail presence spans over 55 countries, including the UK, US, Germany, Holland, Austria, France, Italy, Spain, Argentina, New Zealand, and Japan.
