Tell us about the special occasion you had and why you wanted to wear a designer dress for it?
I hired a dress from GlamCorner for my best friends wedding in June 2017. It was a winter wedding and as most of my friends are already married and this would be one of the last I’d be attending I thought I’d like to have a designer dress for it.
What was it about this occasion that made renting a dress so appealing for you?
I’ve reached a point in my life where I’m sick of having the spare room cupboard full of dresses I’ve worn to events once and don’t want to be seen wearing twice. The cost to buy a dress can be 3-4 times more than the cost of hiring a dress from GlamCorner and now I don’t have to put it in the spare room never to be worn again. Plus I don’t have to pay the ridiculous dry cleaning costs either.
Tell us about the dress and the designer label you chose, and why you chose it?
The dress I chose was absolutely stunning. Being a winter wedding I wanted a dress with sleeves so I was warm and didn’t need to worry about a jacket to cover a gorgeous dress. I’d recently had a stylist tell me navy was my colour so I was on the hunt for a navy dress with sleeves and lace and GlamCorner made finding the dress really easy. The dress was a beautiful heavy lace with a lining which made the dress feel of really good quality.
Have you rented a dress before or was this your first time? For your first time renting a dress, what made you consider it?
I rented a dress from GlamCorner just 2 weeks earlier for a friends 40th birthday as somewhat of a trial for this hire and GlamCorner were so helpful. The original dress i’d ordered for the birthday didn’t suit me and GlamCorner were quick to send me a replacement dress which was perfect for my friend’s birthday and everyone commented on it.

Tell us about how you first discovered GlamCorner?
Google! I think I’d also seen it on social media but once I looked through a lot of different dress hire websites I knew GlamCorner would be the one I’d be using as the range was great and the website was really easy to navigate. I really liked being able to read others reviews to get a sense of what the dresses were like and I also liked seeing real people wearing them rather than just models. The measurements for each dress really helped pick a dress that would fit my shape well too.
How was your overall experience with GC (online and offline) and would you recommend us to other women?
Absolutely! The website is easy to use, when I needed to swap my original dress I phoned and the girl quickly told me how to swap it. Id highly recommend GC to others and already have!
