Tell us about the wedding and why you chose to wear a designer dress for it?
When I got the invite for the wedding of two of our closest friends, I knew I wanted to wear something special! Held in a restored warehouse in West Perth, the wedding was edgy, a little bit rustic and very, very cool. The bride previously had her own wedding styling business so all the small details – neon signs, floral silk napkins, mat black cutlery, gelato cart, flowers galore – were all amazing! I knew it would be as incredible as it was so I needed an outfit to match.
What was it about this occasion that made renting a dress so appealing for you?
I’m one of those people who hates repeating an outfit! Knowing that all my close friends, and lots of friends I hadn’t seen in a while would be at this wedding, I definitely couldn’t wear something I have worn before. I did spend some time shopping around but I didn’t have any luck finding something to suit this event.
What made you choose this dress and Designer? Have you ever purchased from this designer before?
I’ve always admired Thurley. I am quite adventurous with what I wear and love styles with a bit of something extra – tassels, fringing, pom poms, lace, polka dots – while still being glamorous and polished! I had tried on a number of Thurley dresses recently but not had anywhere to wear them to.
Was this your first time renting a dress? If so, what made you consider it?
Yes, this was my first time hiring a dress! My sister does it all the time but I have always been nervous about renting something and then it not fitting, or finding something I wanted to wear but not being able to hire it in the right size. My sister is a lot smaller than me so it’s easy for her to fit into anything! I am tall and curvy so I’ve always been hesitant to rent a dress out of fear I’d be left without something to wear at the last minute. I decided to bite the bullet when a friend at work hired a dress for a different wedding on the same weekend. When she told me about the option to hire a back-up dress I was sold!

How did you come across GlamCorner?
I first came across GlamCorner after seeing some girls I follow on Instagram wearing beautiful dresses they had rented. When my friend at work was looking at renting a dress through GlamCorner, I decided to look into it as well. I spent quite a bit of time browsing the range trying to decide which one I wanted to wear – there’s so much to choose from!
Did you enjoy your overall experience from beginning to end with GlamCorner? Would you recommend us to other women?
I couldn’t be happier with my GlamCorner experience! As I am tall and curvy I can vary between size 10, 12 and sometimes even 14. I’ve often considered hiring a dress but felt I could never find something that wasn’t a size 6! GlamCorner has so many gorgeous dresses in all sizes, the hardest part of the whole process was picking one! Given it was my first time hiring a dress, and I was concerned about sizing, I went with the back-up dress option which gave me some piece of mind and also meant I could pick two amazing dresses! I have already told so many of my friends how awesome the whole experience was. I can’t wait for my next event, I already have my eye on a few pieces!
