Tell us about the occasion that you rented the Mercury Midi Dress by Pasduchas for?
I rented this little number for a fancy wedding out in the Hunter Valley. It was a gloriously dry and hot Australian afternoon, and the venue backed onto bushland. It was the wedding of for a friend of mine who runs a successful business (which includes wedding reception planning), and I knew the whole event would be outrageously glamorous. I often shy away from pink, however, this rose gold colour popped against the muted palette of the Australian bush and I think it looked nice.
Why rent over buy?
I am trying to get into the “slow fashion” culture, or at least trying to avoid single-handedly destroying the environment with my love for frocks. There are also clear cost benefits, as I find myself disinclined to wear the same dress to a different wedding, as I often have overlapping friends. I get the adrenalin rush of a new piece of clothing without the $500 price tag.

This is the third time I have rented with GlamCorner, and each time I have been highly impressed by the prompt service and professionalism. The other times I have rented with GlamCorner I had to make some speedy returns for different sizes, and GlamCorner was able to facilitate that for me without a problem. The only issue this time round was that I loved both my primary dress and back-up dress, and had to do a quick survey with my friends as to which one I should wear!

Would you recommend us to your friends and family? If so, what would you tell them?
Definitely yes, and have done so on a number of occasions. I have advised that in my view it’s the best way to get designer dresses at a quarter of the cost, and it’s a fool-proof strategy with the back-up dress/easy returns system. So far I have only rented for weddings, but I would like to branch out and consider doing it for other major events, like 30ths and Hens etc. Each time the Customer Service team has been exemplary.
