Tell us about the occasion you attended.
One of my gorgeous school friends got married at her family property in Stanthorpe over the weekend. The ceremony was in the afternoon, on top of a hill, overlooking farmland. She had three bagpipe players and I cried buckets because it was so beautiful! The reception was held back at her house where a huge marquee was set up in the garden. It was an absolutely beautiful wedding and no detail was spared!
Why did you decide on this style for the occasion?
The dress code for the wedding was “black tie” and it was forecast to be 14 degrees at night, so I went searching for an elegant, and warm dress. Over the years, I’ve come to realise which style dress suits me best – a v-neckline cut dress, with sleeves that show my legs where I can cover up the areas I’m self-conscious of, and show off my assets! This dress ticked all the boxes and looked super comfortable to wear.
Why rent over buy?
I go to countless events, and I got sick of buying an expensive dress for each event and then only wearing them once. I would try to sell them online but it’s just a hassle. Renting a dress is a great way to go because it’s cheaper than buying a dress you’re only going to wear once!
