Amanda chose to rent our Grace & Hart ‘Valentine Gown’ in Ivory and here she shares more about her experience:
Tell us about the special occasion you had and why you wanted to wear a designer dress for it?
I was planning for a second dress I could wear for my wedding. I was looking for something I could wear for dancing, that would be comfortable to move around in, glamorous and affordable, since I had already spent so much on my wedding dress.
What was it about this occasion that made renting a dress so appealing for you?
Since I had already spent quite a lot on my actual wedding dress, I was looking for something memorable without having to spend too much money on another dress that I’d most likely only wear once. GlamCorner provided the perfect solution.
Tell us about the dress and the designer label you chose, and why you chose it?
I chose the Grace & Hart ‘Valentine Gown’ in Ivory, for it’s simple and elegant design. It wasn’t too flashy or too showy, and had the fit that would complement my body type. I opted for the Advance Try-On just to make sure.
Have you rented a dress before or was this your first time?
I’ve previously (and only) rented from GlamCorner.
Tell us about how you first discovered GlamCorner?
I had heard about a similar service provided overseas and was looking for a dress rental service in Melbourne. I had two weddings in the same year where I was a bridesmaid for each of them, and my own wedding in the same year. Instead of buying new gowns for each occasion, I opted to rent them, and since I first rented from GlamCorner, I have never looked back.
How was you overall experience with GC (online and offline) and would you recommend us to other women?
The customer service team and Live Chat functionality on the website is amazing! There were a couple of times when I had to bring the dress overseas for destination weddings, so I had a few questions for the team. This time, I was worried that I would not be able to return the dresses in time, but the GC Happiness team assured me that they had my notes and comments on file and since I had given the team a heads up, everything would be okay, and answered all my questions.
They also made sure to block out the dates for me well in advance once the knew it was for my wedding. They helped me through every step, including finances, since I’d be renting it for more than the standard 8-day period, all I had to do was provide the dates.
What’s better is that I got a note from another team member, Ruby letting me know that the dress was arriving early, which worked out perfectly, since my wedding was overseas!
The dresses always arrive in pristine condition and luxe packaging, making me feel special (and the personalized note went a long way). The fact that all dresses come with a free returns bag makes renting, trying and returning anything such a breeze, you don’t even have to dry clean anything! Needless to say, I was very impressed and would recommend GlamCorner to all my friends and family.
