Tell us about the occasion that you rented GC item for?
Last September, on a family cruise, my partner Ian proposed to me in front of all of our friends and family who were on holiday with us. It was really special that some of the most important people in our lives were there to witness that moment, which made our decision to elope easier. We decided fairly quickly that we were going to elope to New Zealand and invited four of our closest friends to come with us. It was going to be very small, intimate and special. I did not want to go and spend thousands of dollars on a dress that I probably wouldn’t wear again.
What made you choose this style?
As soon as I saw this Tadashi Shoji dress, I knew it was the one for me. It was fitted, classic and elegant. It also had mandatory long sleeves, as we knew it would be chilly in Queenstown this time of year.
Why rent over buy?
The decision to rent was an absolute no brainer for me. I did not want to spend anywhere near the retail value of this dress, or any other for something that I would likely not wear again. I did look at purchasing this dress after seeing it on your site but it really wasn’t the best decision for me when I could just hire it for a smaller amount.

Did you enjoy your overall experience with GlamCorner? What part of the process was memorable?
I did enjoy my overall experience with GC. My dress and back up dress arrived quite early which allowed me to try the dress on with enough time to exchange for a different size if required (it wasn’t this time!). I had a few questions along the booking process and the stylists on chat were very helpful, polite and professional; I never waited longer than a minute or two to be answered.
I think this was a memorable part of the process. Just having someone to talk to who could ease your mind with answers, and who are there to offer up alternatives on dresses and suggestions on accessories! It really is a wonderful service that I do not regret using.
Would you recommend us to your friends and family? If so, what would you tell them?
Absolutely! And I already have. I have a friend who is having her 40th soon so I have recommended her to use GlamCorner. We also have mid-year ball events at my work, and I have recommended GC for them as well.
I tell people that there is a wonderful service that you can hire designer label items from. You wear it, then send it back in the provided express post satchel the next day. You don’t need to clean it, and you can add a back up for $15 if need be as well! It’s a service that people don’t realise how fabulous it is until they have used it!

I just want to say thank you to your team so much for providing this wonderful service. It was an absolute pleasure to wear this gown that in the end fit me like a glove and I cannot recommend GlamCorner highly enough!
