Tell us about the special occasion you had and why you wanted to wear a designer dress for it?
Some of my girlfriends and I had planned to attend a local races event in Melbourne and thought we’d make a fun day out of it. I really wanted to wear a designer dress for the races as I wanted my outfit to be unique and also wanted to stand out from the crowd.
What was it about this occasion that made renting a dress so appealing for you?
I’ve been wanting to try out the whole dress hiring thing for the longest time, and I thought the races would be a perfect opportunity to do so. I was after a dress that was races appropriate but also reflected my style and I was open to anything, so I decided to browse through GlamCorner’s wide and diverse range of dresses. I had so many gorgeous dresses to choose from, it took me a few days to narrow it down to just one dress.
Tell us about the dress and the designer label you chose, and why you chose it?
I originally had chosen the Alice McCall ‘White Love Light Dress’ in white, however the previous renter returned the dress late, so the staff at GlamCorner sent me 3 dresses based on my original selection as well as a complementary back up dress of my choice! Out of the four dresses I received, I decided to wear Bronx and Banco’s ‘White Florence Midi‘. The dress itself is very classic but fun and chic and reflected my style the most. The dress fit perfectly and the material was so comfortable and soft. It was so comfortable wearing it all day and walking around at the races. I loved the fact that there were adjustable straps as well. It was perfect.

Have you rented a dress before or was this your first time? For your first time renting a dress, what made you consider it?
This was my first time hiring a dress. Recently I’ve heard a lot about dress hiring, as well as seeing some of it on instagram and thought I’d give it a go. I’ve been wanting to try it out and hire a designer dress as it sounds much more easier and appealing rather than buying an expensive dress that I’d probably only wear once and it would most likely end up sitting in my wardrobe. Being able to hire a designer dress also lets you experiment and try out different designers and styles which allows you to stand out from the crowd every event you attend.
Tell us about how you first discovered GlamCorner?
As I had been wanting to try out dress hiring, I decided to google what companies offer the service and after doing some research I chose to go with GlamCorner as it was one of the only websites displaying customer reviews which made me feel comfortable about hiring through the company as well as hiring the specific dress.
How was your overall experience with GC (online and offline) and would you recommend us to other women?
The service I received from GlamCorner was immaculate. There was an issue with me receiving the original dress that I chose as the previous renter did not return it on time, however GlamCorner had a system in place for when things happen out of their control which I was so pleased with. As it all happened last minute, the staff at GlamCorner ensured I had a wide range to choose from, sending me 4 dresses to choose from which was great. The staff were also very quick with replying to emails, and they were very friendly and explained everything very well.

I received the dresses on time which I was concerned about as I was getting it delivered in rural NSW and they were in immaculate condition, basically looked like they were brand new. I have already started getting my girlfriends into hiring from GlamCorner, and I myself can not wait to hire again.
