Tell us about the special occasion you had and why you wanted to wear a designer dress for it?
The occasion I wore my dress for was my University Law Society Ball. Last year for the same event I wore a designer dress, and did not want to feel under-dressed this year as the quality of dresses last year was very high! The occasion was a black tie dress code and being held at a beautiful venue in darling harbour so I knew that the standard of dress was going to be very high.
What was it about this occasion that made renting a dress so appealing for you?
I did not want to risk wearing the same dress as anyone else, nor did I want to be under-dressed so I thought that the most achievable way of ensuring that both of these aims was fulfilled was through the use of a high quality hire service like GlamCorner. This would give me the ability to wear a much higher quality dress than I would have been able to purchase.
Tell us about the dress and the designer label you chose, and why you chose it?
I had not previously come across Theia dresses however I was in love the second I saw the Jessica dress. The head to toe sparkle and the gorgeous back captured my eye and no other dress ever had a hope! Due to the fact that there were no reviews yet on the Jessica dress, I looked at the other Theia dresses to see what the fit and style of those dresses and assumed that the fit would be similar across the brand.
Have you rented a dress before or was this your first time? For your first time renting a dress, what made you consider it?
I had rented previously, however only from stores with a shopfront where I was able to try the dresses on before hand (unfortunately I did not decide to rent early enough to take advantage of the advanced try on service!). However I found that GlamCorner had a broader range and more competitive pricing than other rental companies and the quality of service was exceptional. Owing to the fact that I was nervous about the fit I took advantage of the option to rent a back-up dress however I didn’t need it as my primary dress fitted perfectly!
Tell us about how you first discovered GlamCorner?
I discovered GlamCorner simply through an online google search for a dress rental company in Sydney, however I am very scrupulous of online ordering, and therefore read a large number of reviews prior to ordering my rental which greatly reassured me of the quality of GlamCorner.
