Tell us a little bit about your Hens Party! We would love to know what you did for it.
I now live in Queensland, but I’m originally from South Australia, so my Hens Party was home in Adelaide. I was very lucky to have one of my bridesmaids to offer her parent’s house to host my party. It was a summer time theme, so all my guests wore bright colours (which are very me – I hardly own any black or dark coloured clothes). It was an afternoon party, with beautiful food, Pimm’s (my favourite drink) and lots of party games. I was able to spend time with some of my closest friends and family, which I don’t get to do very often now I live in another state. Overall, I had the best time – it was perfect and my bridesmaids nailed the occasion.
What was it about this occasion that made renting a dress so appealing for you? What made you choose a designer dress in particular for it?
I always had in my mind that I would rent a dress for my Hens Party. I wanted to wear a dress that made me feel really pretty and girly, but was classic as well. My biggest reason was not wanting to go out and buy a white dress I probably wouldn’t wear as much as I would like to. I don’t often get the opportunity to wear a designer dress either, so being able to hire one that I could wear once, love and then send back for someone else to enjoy, just made sense. What was it about this dress and designer? Have you ever purchased from this designer before?
I loved this dress when I first came across it. Although it was my back up dress (I also hired the Saint Cloud Dress in White), as soon as I tried this one on I knew it was perfect for me and for the occasion. I loved the classic elegance of the dress and also that it was fun and flirty with the lace back and cut out lace around the midriff area. I have never purchased any Keepsake The Label items, but I love a good Aussie designer and love supporting local designers.
Was this your first time renting a dress? If so, what made you consider it?
This wasn’t my first time renting a dress – it was my second! The first time I rented a dress was for our engagement party in March 2017. I looked for weeks for a new dress for our engagement party, but I couldn’t find anything that I loved. I came across GlamCorner via a Google search and it didn’t take me long to find a million and one things on the website that I loved. The dress I chose for our engagement party was very different to my Hens Party dress, but after a great experience renting from GlamCorner last year, I knew I wanted to do so again for this special occasion.
