Festival dressing season is upon us! With Splendour in the Grass headlining in Byron Bay next week and those of us at GlamCorner still reeling from the fabulous festival fashion on show at Coachella, we've put together our own list of festival-inspired outfits to have you festival ready in 2016! (Gumboots, Galoshes or Wellie's optional!)
Festival Dressing Style Ideas
Option 1. The Playsuit
Make your festival experience memorable and stylish with a fun & flirty playsuit. Playsuits and rompers are perfect for outdoor events - especially during those Summer months - they're comfy and relaxed and look great teamed with a pair of moccasins or cowboy boots. For a classic festival chic look, this 'Keep Me There' playsuit by Alice Mccall featuring an off the shoulder detail and plunging neckline is feminine and fun and can be worn with festival dressing must-haves such as gladiator sandals and a layered necklace.
Option 2. The Maxi Dress
Maxi dresses have always been the uniform of music festivals; floaty and dreamy, these super feminine dresses create a whimsical style that captures the essence of a sun-drenched lawn and laid-back tunes. Try a maxi dress with a different twist, such as this paisley silk Zimmermann dress which features angular cut-outs and gold metal riveting. It's the perfect mix of boho and chic and will look fab with a black felt brimmed hat and oversized sunglasses to take it from chic to festival ready!
Option 3. The Pantsuit
Channel your inner boho babe with a jumpsuit or pantsuit for a different alternative to festival dressing. Seen on the likes of Rachel Zoe and Kendall Jenner, pantsuits and jumpsuits are sexy and sweet and can be made festival fabulous with chunky heels or wedges, wooden bangles and a festival straw fedora hat like this one from ASOS. For a unique style, opt for a jumpsuit like this gorgeous white Justify My Love jumpsuit from Alice Mccall - the cinched in waist and sheer striped pant makes for a head-turning festival outfit and one which will keep you dancing from dawn to dusk!
Option 4. Accessories
Festival dressing wouldn't be complete with festival accessories! Choosing the perfect accessory depends entirely on your outfit. Try to avoid going the flower crown route just because it's 'on-trend' for festival dressing, instead try a fascinator that can be worn like a headband like this cute lace cat-ear inspired one by Morgan and Taylor. Layered bangles and arm and ear cuffs work well with festival outfits, so too a leather satchel slung over your shoulder which is both practical and in keeping with the festival vibe. Oversized sunglasses like these ones from Topshop add a retro look and can be teamed with any outfit for a personalized look.
