1. Tell us about the special occasion you had and why you wanted to wear a designer dress for it?
I first learnt about Diner en Blanc while driving past Bondi Beach in Sydney a few years back. It looked absolutely breathtaking seeing hundreds of people dressed all in white; and I knew I had to attend one! When I heard the Gold Coast was hosting its first one I jumped on the chance for tickets! From that point I was on the hunt for an elegant French chic dress. I searched everywhere and for over a month for the perfect dress and was getting quite stressed as I couldn’t find anything! Then one night while google searching Thurley I came across GlamCorner and after a quick dress search I found the dress I had envisaged all along!!
2. What was it about this occasion that made renting a dress so appealing for you?
As I was so excited to attend this event and had been waiting for a few years for the Gold Coast to host one I wanted a particular style which wasn’t easy to find! Finding GlamCorner and renting a dress was such a huge relief!
3. Tell us about the dress and the designer label you chose, and why you chose it?
Thurley is one of my favourite labels and I knew I wanted to wear Thurley to Diner en Blanc but couldn’t find any suitable dresses online or in store at the time. When I saw the Emilia dress available on GlamCorner I almost jumped in excitement! I instantly knew it was the perfect dress for me on this occasion. It ticked all my boxes, white, elegant, lace, French chic, mid length and fitted!

4. Have you rented a dress before or was this your first time? For your first time renting a dress, what made you consider it?
I have never thought about renting a dress but after spending an hour or so searching through all of my favourite labels on GlamCorner I wonder why I haven’t thought of it before! You have the luxury of previous and current season dress choices without feeling guilty for only wearing them once!
5. How was your overall experience with GC (online and offline) and would you recommend us to other women?
I was pleasantly surprised on how simple and easy it was to rent a dress. GlamCorner’s website is easy to navigate with different ways to search for a dress via designer or occasion or size/date! I was also looking for a headpiece to wear with the dress and seeing I hadn’t seen the dress in person I called the GlamCorner team to assist. They were so friendly and within a few hours I had an email with photos and prices of all the available headwear they recommended to match the dress – great service! The dress arrived in the morning of the day specified neatly folded in tissue paper within a large box. A return labeled satchel included which just made the entire dress transaction so seamlessly easy!
From that first dress hire a few weeks ago I have since ordered and worn another as I’m now hooked! One of my favourite features of GlamCorner is people’s reviews which includes images of customers of different sizes wearing the dress. I get a better sense of how dresses may suit my body shape. There’s no other store out there that offers over 3,500 dresses for all occasions for a fraction of the retail cost.
