Our lovely customer Astrid recently attended her friends destination beach wedding at Palm Beach and decided to hire our Alice McCall ‘Senorita Dress’ for the special day. Read more about her wedding guest dress rental experience below:
Tell us about the special occasion you had and why you wanted to wear a designer dress for it?
It was a wedding for my friends Simon and Emma. But it wasn’t just any wedding; Simon (the Groom) is one of my husband’s best friends, my husband was a Groomsman that day, and Simon is also our daughter’s Godfather. I definitely had to wear the most special dress that I’ve been wanting for a long time for this particular event!!
What was it about this occasion that made renting a dress so appealing for you?
Not only it was a very special wedding, but it was also a destination wedding! I knew we would be in the beautiful Palm Beach so I wanted to take special pictures with the family at the beach as well, and all the photo ops at the wedding.
Tell us about the dress and the designer label you chose, and why you chose it?
The dress I chose was the Senorita Dress by Alice McCall. Alice McCall is one of my favourite Australian designers and I pretty much love every piece ever designed by her! I particularly loved the Senorita Dress as the cut is super flattering, the design is easy to wear, and is definitely a unique, stand-out piece.
Have you rented a dress before or was this your first time? For your first time renting a dress, what made you consider it?
This was my first time renting ever! I actually wanted to purchase it but it was sold out in my size. I scouted eBay and the re-selling price was ridiculous, and I didn’t have time to be bidding on dresses… that’s when I considered renting and did see a few dress rental options pop up but GC stood out and I was most impressed with everything I read and saw.
Tell us about how you first discovered GlamCorner?
I discovered GlamCorner on Instagram. I saw Sweaty Betty PR posting about GC and so I clicked on it and quickly discovered that you guys had the Senorita Dress, and in my size too! At this point I was super excited and then super happy to find out it was available for the date I was after!
How was your overall experience with GC (online and offline) and would you recommend us to other women?
GC have been the most helpful and everything was smooth sailing from the get-go. I cannot fault your service in any way! As mentioned I loved every bit of the ‘renting’ experience; from receiving the parcel, to opening the box to find my dream dress smelling so heavenly to the convenient return. You made everything so easy. I’ve been recommending you to all my girlfriends! I cannot wait for my next GC delivery!
