Tell us about the special occasion you had and why you wanted to wear a designer dress for it?
My special occasion was a close friend’s beautiful wedding in Melbourne, and the first Spring wedding I have ever been to. I really wanted to find something that unique and pretty that fit the theme, but also something that didn’t break the bank! Renting a dress seemed like the best option, especially for a dress that I’ll most likely only end up wearing once.
What was it about this occasion that made renting a dress so appealing for you?
If I’m shopping for something in particular, I often get overwhelmed, spend a long time trying to find something I love and end up spending a lot of money on something I only end up wearing once. Renting a dress seemed very appealing as I could save money and time, and still be able to wear a designer dress! I also loved the $15 backup option, as it removed any stress I had about the dress fitting and looking right on me!
Tell us about the dress and the designer label you chose, and why you chose it?
I chose the Grace & Hart ‘Frilling Around’ Midi dress in Lilac – and it was beautiful! This dress was the first dress I saw that just stuck with me- I had a good look around the site but I just kept coming back to this dress as it seemed perfect for a wedding, and a perfect way to start the Spring season! I just loved the lace detail, and the quality was even better in person. I also wanted something that wasn’t too figure-hugging and I loved the way this flared out from just under the bust!

Have you rented a dress before or was this your first time?
This was my first time renting a dress, and I had never really considered it before, but while I was Instastalking I saw some beautiful dresses I liked, and discovered they had been hired! When I found GlamCorner, I read the reviews and they were all so positive and the range was great- for a fraction of the full price you would usually pay. I also liked the option of not committing to keeping a dress I would most likely end up only wearing once. You also have the freedom to choose from such a wide range of quality designer dresses to fit any budget. In my case, I was looking for something under $100 – and there was plenty to choose from!

I did a bit of googling for dress hire sites, and GlamCorner just stood out from the start. They have such a huge range of dresses, and I just found the site so easy to use. I would 10/10 recommend to other women, and I’ve already been telling my friends how easy everything was!
