Tell us about the special occasion you had and why you wanted to wear a designer dress for it?
I was celebrating my 37th Birthday! I wanted to ensure I not only felt good but looked amazing as well! Being an avid fashion follower, the choice of dress is always important, and I have in many instances, purchased designer dresses and whole outfits only to wear them once.
What was it about this occasion that made renting a dress so appealing for you?
I had a not-so-good start to 2016 and have only recently been physically recovering, so it was time to celebrate with those who love me and who have supported me. As stated above, I am always purchasing a dress for an occasion but rarely wearing again - if only I could rent my own dresses out lol!! I haven’t had the time or physical energy at times to go into stores to find a dress so this was also a reason I thought of renting a dress. I also wanted to try out the process and experience it for myself after having watched GlamCorner and other similar business’ flourish in the ‘Designer Dress Hire’ category.
Tell us about the dress and the designer label you chose for your 37th birthday, and why you chose it?
I chose the Misha Collection ‘Carolena’ dress. I mainly chose the dress for style - with lace and also the choker neck style currently being on trend. This dress and others from the same label seemed to fit what I had in mind this time.
Have you rented a dress before or was this your first time? For your first time renting a dress, what made you consider it?
This was my first time. The deciding factor for me was really about saving money, I wanted to gain an insight into only spending say $100 versus my normal spend of anywhere between $350-750!! If someone else can provide me a dress that is; a) My style b) On trend and c) For a fraction of the retail price, then I was definitely going to do this!
Tell us about how you first discovered GlamCorner?
I discovered GlamCorner on Instagram and I think it was through a popular female or women that are prominent in social media and fashion/entertainment using GlamCorner themselves.
How was your overall experience with GC (online and offline) and would you recommend us to other women?
My experience, honestly was seamless! I come from a Fashion background and am a senior retailer. I understand the extra special elements that make great service and a great experience and GlamCorner gave me just that! In fact, my dress arrived on my actual Birthday so it felt like I had come home to a gift, and it was still 4 days away from my event! This gave me time to try the dress on and feel that I had made the right decision. The entire process from placing the order right through to the pre-paid express post satchel for return, cemented my decision that I would be utilising GlamCorner again and again. I have told at least five girlfriends about my experience with GlamCorner and the different styles of dresses available, so hopefully they will also get to experience this service themselves!
