Our lovely Grafton based customer Rebecca wanted to match her race day outfit to the black and yellow colours of her chosen racehorse for a Grafton Country Race Meet event, so she chose to rent our Thurley ‘Hollyhock Midi Dress’. A gorgeous daffodil yellow cut-out lace featuring a nude mini length lining, this dress looked fabulous with her black and nude accessories! Tell us about the special occasion you had and why you wanted to wear a designer dress for it?
I had a Country Race Meet that I wanted something I haven’t already worn in my wardrobe, I’ve used GlamCorner many times before so naturally it is my first option for a designer piece. Racing outfits should be ultimately ladylike, feminine and sophisticated. I enjoy traditional dressing appropriate for the event. I like to wear whatever makes me feel striking and at ease, and never let a piece overpower me. GlamCorner always provides that with their diverse range of designers, shapes, sizes and accessories.
What was it about this occasion that made renting a dress so appealing for you?
In my personal preference and experience I typically always wear designer dresses, if not from my wardrobe, from GlamCorner’s selection. So when it comes to wanting to wear something I haven’t yet that’s striking for last minute plans I always turn to GlamCorner for their convenient, time effective and simple ordering.
Tell us about the dress and the designer label you chose, and why you chose it?
I wore the vibrant and striking yellow Hollyhock Midi Dress by Thurley! Why you ask, well… When I picture an outfit, it is usually inspired by something else I have seen. On this occasion my racehorse’s colours were yellow and black checker, and he has a large white baldy face/ blaze. He was my inspiration. I knew GlamCorner would have the yellow that I needed to match with my black bag and white hat. Thinking of my outfit as a whole; the thing that sets racewear apart from other kind of fashion event is a headpiece. So make sure that your head piece goes with your clutch and your clutch goes with your outfit and your shoes, than you’re racing.

Instagram! I was browsing through some racing photos of horses and came across someone else wearing GlamCorner, it is funny how you can be looking at one thing and be completely distracted and end up finding the best thing since Nutella, GlamCorner!
