Tell us about the special occasion you had and why you wanted to wear a designer dress for it?
My special occasion was my 21st Birthday party. I had invited over 180 of my closest family and friends from all over Australia down to my beautiful holiday getaway Lorne, Victoria. Being one of the last girls in my group to finally turn 21, I was looking for a designer dress to be the show-stopper dress I had always dreamt of, and Thurley (of course) delivered.
What was it about this occasion that made renting a dress so appealing for you?
After watching all of my friends look drop-dead gorgeous on their own big days over the past few years, I was looking for a dress that would not only reflect me and who I am, but also be able to keep up with the amazing outfits my girls had worn. Renting a dress was so appealing to me as although I love my fashion and style, I tend to only wear beautiful frocks once. I’m not a huge outfit repeater, and as a University student saw an awesome opportunity to rent a designer dress for what was cheaper than a quarter of its store price.
Tell us about the dress and the designer label you chose, and why you chose it?
My dress was the Aphrodite dress by the brand Thurley. The halter neck dress was predominately shades of light blue with silver shimmering discs that had frills along the chest waist and skirt. I adore everything Thurley creates and have always had a huge love for their clothing and style that seems to always fit my body shape perfectly. I chose this dress as it completely complemented my personality, my semi-formal dress code, and was nothing short of stunning.

Have you rented a dress before or was this your first time?
I have rented dresses before, but have never rented through GlamCorner until this occasion. I first tried renting a dress as I had heard so many raving reviews. I don’t think anyone could pass up designer dresses for fractions of the price.
